Lothar Wieczorek has been at the forefront of the development of medical devices and products in the US and European pharmaceutical and diagnostics industries throughout his 30-year career – where he has held senior positions in Research and Development, Business Development, Strategic Planning and Medical Affairs. Most recently, Lothar was in charge of Clinical Research and Scientific Affairs Genomics and Oncology at Roche Molecular Systems. His most recent accomplishment was working with the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) on the design and execution of a 45,000 patient diagnostic clinical trial for a new human papillomavirus (HPV) genotyping test, a record-breaking undertaking for the company. He is Chairman of the Board of Diagnoplex and past chairman of the Board of Spinomix. Lothar graduated at Christian-Albrechts-University Kiel, Germany, and holds a Ph.D. in Microbiology.
