Magnetic Phase (MagPhase™)

Homogenous dispersion of the particles in a fluidic environment is therefore the key issue to render any particle based assay compatible with the fluidic environment. MagPhase™ is a new particles handling concept resolving in a smart way the particles agglomeration and therefore opens new perspectives in bio-assaying in fluidic environment. The key element of the technology is that the particles are manipulated in specific way so that they form a "dynamics sweeping fog structure" of particles, allowing their optimal exposure and enhanced mixing with the surrounding liquid medium. With such highly homogeneous structure of particles and during the assay processing, the analytes "reaction" with the particle surfaces support is strongly enhanced. In fact, because the rate binding reaction of the analytes in not limited by "slow diffusion" on the surface of particles, as in the classical systems, the assay will be extremely fast and the performance will be strongly enhanced.
