Amar Rida

Dr. Amar Rida, CTO :

holds a BSc, Master in theoretical physics from the university of Science and technologies of Algiers, Algeria and a Ph.D. in micro-techniques and micro-engendering from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology, Lausanne (EPFL).

In 2002 he join the microsystem laboratory at EPFL as a research assistant working on the devolvement of new tools for the manipulation of magnetic particles for bio-medical diagnostic process. R&D industrial experience acquired in the framework of collaboration between EPFL and Roche Diagnostics. Dr. Rida is inventor of several patents and the author articles in renowned journals. Based in his invention of the Magnetic Phase technology, he fonded Spinomix SA in 2004. Since there, he is the Chief Technology Officer of the company.

 

Tomas Svoboda

Tomas J. Svoboda, CEO :

studied Medical Engineering (BS MT) in Prague, Modern Languages in Zürich and International Marketing in INSEAD Fontainebleau later on he completed an MBA Program at SMPU (USA).

Tomas is working since 1987 in the health care industry where he held over the years a variety posts with an increasing level of management responsibility; he gained his business experience in five different countries in large and medium sized corporations - Serono SA (immunology & hormonal diagnostics with magnetic particles), Haemonetics Corp. (blood transfusion technology); Boston Scientific Corp. (minimal invasive implantable devices); as well as two privately funded start-ups - Medaxis (chronic wound care) Managing Director and Pro-Med AG in Linz (drug delivery systems).
