Spinomix SA is a spin-off company of the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology of Lausanne (EPFL) founded in November 2004. Our technology platform is based on a proprietary magnetic nanoparticles handling technology (MagPhase) in microfluidic environment (lab-on-chip). This technology offers cost efficient, reliable fully automated and miniaturized systems for various applications in life-science and in-vitro diagnostics.

As particles assaying based technology, the "MagPhase platform" allows the integration of well established and widely adopted biomolecules assaying protocols. The MagPhase is indeed a versatile and flexible platform on which wide range of assays will be implemented for diagnostics products development on a collaborative basis with strategic partners. Diagnostic instrument MagPie™ and consumables (fluidic chip, magnetic nanoparticles and reagents) together with customization services is the main product offering by Spinomix.

More specifically, our company addresses the unmet need for cost effective and more effective diagnostics tools at the patient site. In this perspective, Spinomix mission is to increase the ease-of-use, speed, quality and cost effectiveness of diagnostic procedures and thus to enable state of the art diagnostic methods to reach the Point of Care setting to benefit broader population.

Two experienced scientists in the fields of molecular biology and micro-systems and one life science business professional form the core fonder team of the company bringing over 50 years of compiled working experience in academia and industry.
